    11:15am - 12:15pm
    Session Type: Session
    Session Capacity: N/A

The 2020 coronavirus recession was truly unprecedented in size and scope, and the ensuing economic recovery has been equally unique. Elevated demand, supply chain bottlenecks, labor shortages, surging commodity prices and rising inflation have defined the economic landscape to date. Now, more than two years since the onset of the pandemic in the U.S., we analyze the post-COVID financial health of the market. This session will provide an update on the state of the economy, macroeconomic themes, global monetary policy, the overall direction of interest rates and health of capital markets. This panel will cover 1) an overview of the current state of the economy and recent trends 2) what we see on the horizon and 3) the implications for captive investment portfolios. This interactive session will include diverse perspectives from an investment manager that specializes in managing assets for captives and an RRG that has been through multiple market cycles.

Learning objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to identify the forces behind what’s driving the economy and capital markets and the impact those factors can have on captive investment portfolios.
