Organization: Eastern Dentists Insurance Company


Dan Belbusti serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Eastern Dentists Insurance Company (EDIC), where he oversees the internal and outsourced financial functions of the company. Mr. Belbusti joined EDIC from Electric Insurance (a GE Company), where he spent 9 years and served as Deputy Controller and Technical Accounting Leader. Prior to Electric Insurance, Mr. Belbusti spent 5 years as a Senior Manager at a consulting firm specializing in risk management for financial services clients where he implemented enterprise risk management structures, improved internal control processes, and engaged in the occasional fraud investigation. He also formerly served as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in audits for insurance and investment industry clients. He holds both a M.S. and B.S. from the University of Connecticut.


Organization: Bright Horizons


As the Vice President of Risk Management for Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Gail Newman continuously strives to innovate risk management strategies and evolve efficiencies in business practices to support the company’s global approach to Enterprise Risk Management. Gail is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of management experience in the disciplines of financial and operations management, six sigma/business process improvement, leading internal audit organizations as well as insurance and captive management. Passionate about finding synergies in business and her community, Gail is actively involved with volunteering with the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, supporting the Vermont Captive Insurance Association, serving as a Board Member of the Bunker Hill Community College Foundation, and supporting sustainable gardening and farming efforts in her hometown. Beyond her “day job,” Gail has been active in the Fitness and Wellness industry for over two decades. She currently teaches a variety of fitness classes and is a licensed trainer and nutrition coach.
