Sessions Information

  • August 10, 2022
    11:15am - 12:15pm
    Session Type: Roundtable
    Session Capacity: N/A

Being new to a captive program, you may wonder, “where’s the instruction manual?” You might feel overwhelmed in the beginning as to how you will manage your new responsibilities, such as: measuring and knowing if the captive is performing well or not; and knowing what reserves are and how they impact your actuarial studies each year. If you don’t know about these things, and many more like them, this session is for you. Come meet with other captive owners to learn how they got started; what they didn’t know at the start of their journey; and how they got good at managing their risk. Ask all the questions you think you should already know the answers to. This will be an informal discussion to allow you to tap into the insights and experiences of existing captive owners.
