Bio:Jeremy "JJ" Johnson serves as the Vice President of Global Risk for Revantage, a shared services company that supports Blackstone Real Estate's operations. In his role, JJ is responsible for leading the Vermont domiciled global captive, Gryphon, and sourcing alternative risk transfer solutions that minimize total cost of risk while ensuring lending compliant coverage for the portfolio's many risk exposures.
With over a decade of experience, JJ joined Revantage in August of 2022. Prior to joining Revantage, he served as Risk Manager for Amazon, where he played a pivotal role in structuring Amazon Logistics' Last Mile Insurance and Risk Management program. In this position, JJ oversaw multiple functions, including claims, contractor relations, and captive insurance.
JJ holds the designations of CPCU, CRM, and ARM. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Franciscan Outreach, the largest emergency homeless shelter provider in the Chicago-land area, where he leads their Risk and Finance Sub-Committee. He graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a B.S. in public relations.
